First there was
a Harlequin Great Dane named Lady. She was taken away from an
abusive family back in Germany and placed with a nice lady in foster
home, which happened to be my sister in law. She took care of that 7
months old loving and forgiving clumsy Dane puppy.
Fast forward – when we immigrated to Canada Lady came to us and
stayed with us until she passed away after 12 wonderful years of
love and joy.
She was my
closest friend and companion and our dearest four legged family
member.
Pepper (Merle) a

had joined us after Sitha our Lab-mix left us after 14 years. When
Lady passed we felt that Pepper (and our family) was missing an
important part in our daily life and we applied again for a Great
Dane. So once again we turned to our favourite Great Dane rescue

and this time Sadie (former Annie) a Fawn joined us and enriched
our life’s.
Now it is time
again to extend our family. Carla knew that we were looking for an
older Great Dane male for quite some time already and sent me an
email telling me all about Cinder and 6 year old Merle.
